The top of this box features a decoupaged image of a Victorian painting of a lovely damsel that is gently distressed and trimmed with gold leaf. Beside her are gold leaf appliques. The lid has an old gold brass metal latch handle that lifts the lid up. The interior is a creamy white with a blue and gold striped silk fabric bottom. The bottom half of the box is completely covered with variegated gold leaf and embellished with flourish appliques. The box measure about 13 inches long and 4.5 inches high.
